The short version

Roundtable doesn’t ask for your email, phone number or real name. We store the name you choose to show your Roundtable, your predictions, and a random id in a cookie so we know it’s you. Analytics cookies are only set if you tap Allow. We don’t sell data or show ads.

Roundtable is an unofficial fan game, not affiliated with the BBC, Studio Lambert or The Traitors.

What we collect

• The display name you choose, and the Roundtables you create or join (name, type and any forfeit).
• Your predictions and scores.
• A random player id, stored in a cookie (rt_uid) that keeps you signed in for up to about 13 months. It’s essential for the game to work, so it doesn’t need consent.
• Basic usage events, linked to your player id: creating or joining a Roundtable, making predictions, opening results and sharing. We use these to keep the game working and improve it.
• Google Analytics, to see how many people visit and which pages they use. Its cookies (_ga) are only set if you tap Allow; otherwise Google receives only basic, cookie-free signals. You can change your mind by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
• Technical data our hosting and security providers process automatically, such as your IP address, browser details and request logs, including checks that block bots.

Who can see it

Other members of a Roundtable see your display name, your score and your predictions. Weekly predictions are only shown once the episode has started, and opening predictions once Episode 1 starts. Anyone with your “Use on another device” link can play as you, so keep it private.

Why we use it (lawful basis)

To run the game you’ve asked to play (contract), and to keep it secure, fix problems and understand how it’s used (our legitimate interests). Analytics cookies are based on your consent.

Where it’s stored

Hosting is on Vercel and the database on Supabase, both in the EU (Frankfurt). Analytics is provided by Google. These providers process data for us under data processing terms. Where they transfer data outside the UK or EU, they use approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep game data until 12 months after the series ends, then delete it or make it anonymous. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

You can ask to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your data, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Contact playtheroundtable@gmail.com. Tell us your display name and Roundtable, and send your “Use on another device” link so we can find your data. If you’re unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Age

Roundtable is for people aged 13 and over.
